South Africa was where she grew
They shipped the parts over
Twelve years ago they made her new
Shipped through the Straits of Dover

12 years is really quite an age
For any RIB to be
My heart was truly in my mouth
When they put her in the sea

She floated well – there were no leaks
The engine roared to life
And when I put her into gear
She cut through like a knife

The old Ballistic’s really fast
So she goes like a train
She doesn’t have a sailing mast
She gives us little pain

The tubes are sound as they can be
The ‘glass as white as cream
When we go out onto the sea
You should hear my wife scream

She shouts because she loves the speed
She’s just a ‘fast speed freak’
But if she’s asked to steer the boat
She turns all mild and meek

“I couldn’t take the helm” she said
“I don’t know where to point
I’d rather be asleep in bed
Than crash into some joint”

My son is really into this
He drives a huge fork lift
So if you need a RIB brought down
I’m sure he won’t be miffed

My daughter doesn’t like the wind
When it blows in her face
So we slow down just to be kind
And then we’ll find a place

To eat and drink in peace and quiet
Wherever we have sailed
A pint of Guiness is the best
-I think we’ve got it nailed

And all because of JBT
Who had the RIB for us
They’ve got ‘sales patter’ to a tee
And our RIB is gorgeous

They had it cleaned and valeted
I’m sure we had a test
The paperwork is all valid
JBT are the best

Boss Tom and salesman Jeremy
Both give a great service
And Kathryn and her friend Sophie
Have lots of good advice

So come on down to JBT
They’ll have just what you want
Tell them what craft it needs to be
-They never say “we can’t”
